Super-Smooth Shooting
Here’s a trick I like to use to help our students develop a super-smooth stroke.
Imagine that your cue stick is hollow, full of water, and has no end cap, and that jerking the cue to a stop at the back of the backstroke will force water out of the back of the cue. So, moving the cue smoothly to a soft pause at the back of the backstroke will help keep the water inside the cue. When you also reinforce the importance of having a soft grip, you can use tricks and visualizations to help build a great stroke!
